Orange Community Council of PTAs (OCCPTA) is at the school district level. It was chartered in October 27th, 1926. We encompass all of the schools within Orange Unified School District. We currently serve 27 unit (school site) PTA/PTSA.
We have the pleasure and the responsibility of leading our units. We act as a conduit for information flowing from the unit and council levels to the state level and vice-versa. We work in partnership with Orange Unified School District, and provide parental input on a variety of issues. The officers and chairman of OCCPTA work closely with our units to ensure that they have the training, mentoring, information, and guidance they need to be successful leaders and advocates.
In turn, the units provide these same services to their units. This web site is only one of the tools we provide for the edification of our members. In addition, we coordinate attendance at the annual California State PTA convention each spring. This year, we will begin hosting our first ever “Meet and Greet” on Wednesday, August 27 at 8:30 am-11:00 am at the offices of Orange Unified School District. You will learn practical and essential tips and tricks to help you have a successful 2014-2015 PTA year! Your entire executive board is welcomed!
The OCCPTA board is made up of members from a variety of units. They are exceptional leaders who have devoted many years of service to this organization. Take advantage of their collective knowledge by utilizing the tools that they provide both online and off.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our web site. We hope you find it a valuable resource. So, who is OCCPTA? We are the middle link in the chain of child advocacy that includes Units, Councils, Districts, States, and National PTA. In short, we are you welcome!
